Enphase App: why is my app delayed? Cellular backup & data backfill
A delayed Enphase app does not always mean solar production has stopped. The IQ Gateway collects system data locally and sends it to Enphase through its available internet connection.
Why readings may be delayed
- Cellular reporting: Some cellular-connected systems upload in batches rather than continuously. The schedule depends on the modem, plan, and system configuration; do not expect every cellular system to update in real time.
- Internet interruption: A router outage, weak Wi-Fi signal, or cellular connection problem can leave the app showing old data.
- Data backfill: After communication returns, the Gateway may upload stored historical readings. Charts can fill in gradually rather than all at once. Recovery time and available history depend on the length of the outage and the equipment.
What you can check
- Check the app's last reported time, not just the power value on screen.
- Confirm your home internet is working and check the Gateway's network light (KM-513). Reconnect Wi-Fi if needed (KM-517).
- Once reconnected, allow time for current and historical data to appear. Avoid repeated restarts, which can interrupt the upload.
- If current readings return but older dates stay blank, send us screenshots showing the missing dates and when the connection was restored.
Not every system has a cellular modem or automatic cellular backup. If reporting remains stale after the connection is restored, call or text us at 806-454-7873. If the system is also not producing in sunshine, see KM-515.
