SolarEdge: how to read the inverter LED lights and what they mean

Newer SolarEdge inverters have three small lights on the front: green, blue, and red. Older models have a small screen instead — take a photo of it and send it to us.

GREEN (power): Solid green = producing normally. Blinking green = standby or night, waiting for sunlight or checking the grid. Off = the inverter isn't producing (check the ON/OFF switch and solar breaker).

BLUE (monitoring): Solid blue = connected and reporting to the mySolarEdge app. Blinking blue = trying to connect. Off = not reporting (check your Wi-Fi or data plan — see KM-414).

RED (fault): Off = normal, no errors. Solid red = an error was detected. Blinking red = a fault check or software update is running; give it 15 minutes.

Healthy daytime: solid green + solid blue, red off. Healthy night: blinking green + solid blue, red off.

If the red light stays on, or green stays off on a sunny day, take a photo of the lights and call or text us at 806-454-7873. Don't open the inverter.
